Tom represents Hope United Methodist Church. He has been actively serving in various roles with Human Services since 2007, holding both Treasurer and Chairman positions. He initially served as Treasurer for five years before moving on to become Chairman in 2012. As of March 2019, Tom is serving, once again, as the Organization’s Treasurer. Since retiring in 1998 from Huntington National Bank, Tom not only volunteers his talents and gifts to Canal Winchester Human Services, but also to Hospice and Certified Lay Minister services and duties. He and his wife, Marti, have been married 58 years this year and live in Canal Winchester.

Throughout his professional career, Joe held positions of leadership that are both impressive and impactful. In addition to retiring as Vice President to National City Bank, Joe also served as National President and Chairman to the American Institute of Banking and Co-Chairman of the Columbus Postal Customers Council. Laurie is a 20-year resident of Canal Winchester. She is passionate about the services provided by Canal Winchester Human Services and to all the residents who need them. Her heartfelt desire for reaching out to people in tangible, hands-on ways was inspired by her late daughter, Shelby, who cared deeply for people and was always giving back. Shelby was a role model for all to follow. Laurie volunteers at the pantry and is continuously humbled by the day-to-day needs that so many volunteers, like herself, willingly fill with helping hands. Laurie is married to her husband Craig, and together they raised both of their daughters in Canal Winchester. She is an IT Manager for a large insurance company in Columbus. Her passion to serve extends professionally as well, as she gives back by serving as a co-captain for the company’s Hunger Relief campaign, raising thousands of dollars for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Personally and locally, she attends X Church and serves as the liaison between Human Services and her church.

In past years, he has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and he was also awarded the “Business Person of the Year Award” in 2009 from that same organization. He is an insurance broker at The Insurance Circle Agency, and he is a “proud papa” of his son, Justin, who is 33 years old.
Jo was an original co-founder of the Organization in 1955. She was an active member of the Executive Board of Directors until 2016. That same year, she accepted the Organization’s first and only lifetime appointment as “Emeritus,” honoring her 60+ years of faithful service and sacrifice. For the entirety of those years that she served, her husband, Dick, was right there along her side with love and support for his wife and the people of Canal Winchester. Together, they were instrumental in being a lifeline of support from the very beginning, Jo suffered a deep loss when Dick passed away in 2016, but she continues to “sew” threads of dedication into the fabric of the Canal Winchester community, as she is an active member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Canal Winchester Historical Society.
