She and her husband, Ryan, currently reside in Canal Winchester with their two children.

Anne Kissner - Vice Chairman

Tom Helber - Treasurer

Tom represents Hope United Methodist Church. He has been actively serving in various roles with Human Services since 2007, holding both Treasurer and Chairman positions. He initially served as Treasurer for five years before moving on to become Chairman in 2012.  As of March 2019, Tom is serving, once again, as the Organization’s Treasurer.  Since retiring in 1998 from Huntington National Bank, Tom not only volunteers his talents and gifts to Canal Winchester Human Services, but also to Hospice and Certified Lay Minister services and duties.  He and his wife, Marti, have been married 58 years this year and live in Canal Winchester.

Joe Jester - Trustee

Joe served as the Organization’s Treasurer from 2012 until 2016 and currently represents St. John XXIII Catholic Church as a Trustee.  Joe invests his time in various other capacities, singing with the Hope United Methodist Church choir and lending a hand to support everyday needs through several organizations such as Meals on Wheels.  Throughout his professional career, Joe held positions of leadership that are both impressive and impactful. In addition to retiring as Vice President to National City Bank, Joe also served as National President and Chairman to the American Institute of Banking and Co-Chairman of the Columbus Postal Customers Council.  He also served as Secretary of Little Turtle Country Club. Currently, Joe and his wife, Peggy, live in Canal Winchester.

Brigid Krueger - Trustee

Brigid has served as a Trustee on behalf of the Canal Winchester School District since 2015.  She and her husband, Matt, are members of David's United Church of Christ and live in Canal Winchester with their children.

Linda Tennison - Trustee

Linda has served the Organization since 2016, concurrently representing the interests of both the Canal Winchester Senior Citizens Club and the City of Canal Winchester.  Linda holds a degree in Social Work and has worked at the Canal Winchester Community Senior Center for nearly ten years as the Community Center Coordinator.  She and her husband, Dean, own Specialty RVs and have four grown daughters.

Laurie Amick – Trustee

Laurie is a 20-year resident of Canal Winchester.  She is passionate about the services provided by Canal Winchester Human Services and to all the residents who need them.  Her heartfelt desire for reaching out to people in tangible, hands-on ways was inspired by her late daughter, Shelby, who cared deeply for people and was always giving back. Shelby was a role model for all to follow.  Laurie volunteers at the pantry and is continuously humbled by the day-to-day needs that so many volunteers, like herself, willingly fill with helping hands. Laurie is married to her husband  Craig, and together they raised both of their daughters in Canal Winchester.  She is an IT Manager for a large insurance company in Columbus.  Her passion to serve extends professionally as well, as she gives back by serving as a co-captain for the company’s Hunger Relief campaign, raising thousands of dollars for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Personally and locally, she attends X Church and serves as the liaison between Human Services and her church.

Mike Coolman – Trustee

Mike represents the City of Canal Winchester.  A long-time resident of Canal Winchester, he continues to actively serve in many capacities.  Currently, he is on City Council and he is a board member for Historical Society.  In addition, he is on the Executive Board of Directors for both “Destination: Canal Winchester” and the City’s Labor Day Festival.  In past years, he has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and he was also awarded the “Business Person of the Year Award” in 2009 from that same organization.  He is an insurance broker at The Insurance Circle Agency, and he is a “proud papa” of his son, Justin, who is 33 years old.

Jo Weiser - Trustee Emeritus

Jo was an original co-founder of the Organization in 1955.  She was an active member of the Executive Board of Directors until 2016.  That same year, she accepted the Organization’s first and only lifetime appointment as “Emeritus,” honoring her 60+ years of faithful service and sacrifice.   For the entirety of those years that she served, her husband, Dick, was right there along her side with love and support for his wife and the people of Canal Winchester.  Together, they were instrumental in being a lifeline of support from the very beginning, Jo suffered a deep loss when Dick passed away in 2016, but she continues to “sew” threads of dedication into the fabric of the Canal Winchester community, as she is an active member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Canal Winchester Historical Society.
