Energy Assistance Programs

As of April 6, 2026, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services will be administering Energy Assistance Programs can help you manage your utility bills and improve your home’s energy efficiency.  There will be no interruption of service or change in the application process. The Summer Crisis Program

The Summer Crisis Program is available July 1- September 30 to households at or below 175% of the federal income guidelines that also meet ONE of the following requirements:

  • A household member is 60 or Older 
  • A member of the household has a medical necessary condition certified by a qualified medical professional OR
  • The household has an electricity disconnection notice, has been shut off or a new electric service is being established
