Thursday Donation Volunteer
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull boxes up to 50 pounds boxes
- Ability to use hands to handle paper, pens, thermometer, and other equipment and objects.
- Ability to perform duties in various temperatures related to weather and location during pick-up and drop off including but not limited to:
- 15-30 degrees outside
- 30 degree in walk-in coolers.
- 90 degrees and above both outside and inside warehouse areas.
- Have a positive attitude when interacting with staff, clients and store contacts
Responsibilities
- Collect, Load and Unload boxes of donated food that require walking, reaching, and bending as well as lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 pounds
- Temperature check donations at the collection site and when they arrive at Canal Winchester Human Services
- Fill out weekly pick-up log at the beginning of each trip and turn in form when complete
- Weight donations when they arrive at Canal Winchester Human Services
- Assist Staff with putting way the unloaded and weighed donations
