Canal Winchester Senior Transportation

OUR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Our transportation program has two distinct services that include 

Daily Transportation and Group Transportation.

Daily Transportation

To participate in daily transportation which is provided Monday through Friday and by appointment only, clients must be at least 60 years old and a PERMANENT RESIDENT of the Canal Winchester School District or a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Village of Lithopolis. 

Daily transportation: Grocery Trips

  Trips are provided to the grocery (rotating between Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, and Aldi), and the Community Food Pantry for Market Day clients. Please contact Canal Winchester Human Services to sign up for the trip.

  • Grocery Store Schedule 
    • (*schedule is subject to change*)
    • Monday (1st, 3rd, 5th) : Meijer
    • Monday (2nd, 4th): Aldi
    • Tuesday (1st, 3rd, 5th): Walmart
    • Tuesday (2nd, 4th): Kroger

We have five vans of various sizes, of which four are wheel-chair accessible. Appointments are scheduled Monday-Friday by appointment only. Transportation is curb-curb, which may require that the resident has an aide or caregiver present.

Group Transportation

 To participate in group activities such as Senior Citizen Club activities and social outings, clients must be a member in good standing of the Canal Winchester Senior Citizen Club, following the eligibility rules as set by the Club. Clients also must live in Fairfield or Franklin County. For more information on club activities or to join, please call the Canal Winchester Community Center at 614.837.8276.
